Animals are
creations of god just like human being; they are part and parcel in our lives
one way or rather. There are many types of animals in this world but how far
are they being treasured. What extend do you think the torture could be? Have you
witnessed one?
Animals are
everywhere in our daily life, some are kept as pets while some are wild in
jungle or forest and not forgetting those in the Zoo who is pretty much tamed
animals. Humans have different type of interest towards these animals, some
gets excited with the wild ones like tiger or lions while some
prefer the tamed ones like cats and dogs which can be kept as pets at home. Pets
are most likely human’s best friend as they have some qualities that makes
human’s life more meaningful. For an example, some have pets for companion,
some to rescue those who are in need, while some pets are even capable of
saving or helping a human in his or her daily chores. Governments and respected
organizations have found their way to protect these animals but how far are the
animals protected?
In this developing world, there are still humans with timid mindset and lives with hatred feeling towards animals. I call them unfortunate for not knowing the value of these beautiful creatures that belongs to the nature.

How and where to do complain about pets torture? For example I saw my neighbour torture their dog by beating and not give proper food, what should I do? Is it all the animals we can keep as pets in Malaysia or got some chosen animals only? As I know we can keep dog, cat, rabbit, and some others.
ReplyDeleteWell Nevashini Neva, thank you for your comments and questions regarding the animal torture post i have done recently. As this is my first post, the next post will be on this matter but however, since you have asked on it there are many departments that you can launch a report on the matter where your neighbor is abusing the dog.
DeleteYou only have to suspect an animal is being neglected or mistreated in order to report it to the humane society. It is helpful if you look at the following conditions closely before you call to report:
* Is the animal not being fed, or is the animal fed out of your sight (perhaps food is being placed inside the dog house)? Is the animal not receiving water or is the animal knocking over water immediately after the bowl is filled?
* Does the animal have appropriate shelter from wind, rain and sun? Is shade available for hot weather? Does size of the shelter fit the size of the animal? Too large or too small is not appropriate for proper care.
* Is the animal's coat shiny or dull with hair missing? Are his/her eyes clear and bright or dull? Does the animal appear energetic or listless? Hair missing, dull eyes and listlessness can be signs that one or more problems exist.
* Remember not to alter the conditions the animal is living in before calling the humane society. If you feed or water the animal for example, it will be difficult to determine neglect of the animal when the officer arrives. When assessing the animal's condition, be sure not to put yourself at risk. We encourage you to contact the humane society instead of attempting to remove the animal yourself.
You may CALL SPCA AMPANG AT 03-4256 5312.
Many animals can be kept as pets if you wish for example; frog, fish like gold fish, ferrets, guinea pig, hamster, iguana, mouse, turtle and even snake, by which you need to apply a license at DBKL.

Located in Wonga Park their shelter is home to many dogs and cats that are looking for that all important second chance and a family to call their own.
DeleteHi viji
ReplyDeleteAnimal Rescue Team works with law enforcement to investigate illegal animal cruelty, targeting the worst cases of animal abuse nationwide. Every year we rescue thousands of animals from puppy mills, animal fighting operations, hoarders, and other situations where animals suffer from life-threatening cruelty. There also provide expert animal rescue response at natural disasters.
That is my question
How do I notify the correct authorities about animal abuse or neglect that I have witnessed?
Hi Aimee Lim, thank you for your comment. When calling to report animal cruelty, be sure to include the following:
DeleteName of the person you believe is involved, if known.

What type of animal? dog, cat, horse, etc.
How many animals may be involved?
What type of cruelty are you reporting? neglect, violence.
Is it an owned animal(s) or a stray(s)?
